Emotion Projector 2000 is a series of introspective GIF pieces featuring cliche narratives that peer into the human condition. Housed in a square frame displaying looped melancholic messages, emotions are extracted, compressed, and preserved to forever exist as a lonely digital echo. These charmingly delicate vignettes are digital keepsakes; manifesting age old themes of youth, love, and loss. These artifacts are typical of the artist’s exploration in his recurring theme of an induced nostalgia; manufacturing digital déjà vu or a Mandela Effect of sorts, by combining familiarity, the skewing of timelines, reassigning pop culture references, while carefully layering symbolism and iconography to facilitate a cerebral experience of inhabiting memories that never existed.
